Team Sports was established in 1989 by Kevin McNally and Michael Nelson. The leg work for the business was planned and organized originally in a small apartment building in Fitchburg between 1988 and 1989. Numerous hours and months went into the development and planning of the business. We then established an 800 sq ft. store on Summer Street in Fitchburg. Due to larger demand and the need for space, The business moved to a 3000 sq. ft. store in 1991 and stayed there until 1994. In 1994 we packed up shop and moved to our current 6000 sq ft. location at 983 John Fitch Hwy in Fitchburg. We have been established for 15 years servicing the needs of the Twin Cities and surrounding communities. We pride ourselves on our product knowledge and the advice we give to our end users. We have over 150 years of Hockey experience and knowledge between our Staff. Team Sports is well known for its Hockey, but also carries a variety of sports. We carry Figure Skates, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Street Hockey. We specialize in Embroidery, Printing and numbering for businesses, leagues and organizations. Team Sports is supported by many local groups and organizations. That list includes; Twin City Youth Hockey, Pepperell, Ashby, and Townsend Youth Hockey, Groton Youth Hockey, Central Mass Bandits, Ashburnham Youth Hockey, Winchendon Yourh Hockey, Gardner Youth Hockey Lowell LockMonsters and Twin City SabreCats. We are also supported by various Schools, Organizations and Businesses. That list includes; Leominster Pop Warner, Lunenburg Pop Warner, Lunenburg Phillies, Lunenburg Youth Soccer ,Fitchburg State College, Franklin Pierce College, Winchendon School, Lawrence Academy, Cushing Academy, St Bernards , Leominster, Fitchburg, Lunenburg, North Middlesex and Acton Boxborough High School to name just a few. Team Sports has been in the Embroidery and Printing Business as well for 15 years. We currently have 3 Computer operated Embroidery machines which operate on a Full time basis.Our Embroidery Department is Equipped with a state of the Art 2 head Tajima Embroidery Machine, The Cadillac of all machines. We are also equipped with a single head Meistergram machine. We pride ourselves on our quality and turnaround time. In our Embroidery and Printing Department We are also supported by many of the areas most established businesses. Amongst this list includes Ron Bouchards Auto Stores, Bakers Cadillac, High Country Workwear, United Steel Workers Association, Dunkin Donuts, Townsend Ridge Country Club, Image Auto, Guys Drywall, JC Vinyl Siding, Data Guide Cable, Dutch Kitchen, Add-A-Sign, Bootlegger Rest. Chapdelaine, Denault Realty, ESK Construction, Firestone, Josephs Bistro, North End Auto, DelleChiaie Landscaping, RT's Auto and US Army to name just a few. In our Hockey Department we carry all the name brands. We carry Bauer, Nike, CCM, Easton, Koho, Jofa,Eagle, Muskoka,Itech, Ferland, Vaughn, Louisville, Oakley etc.etc. Our Baseball/Softball dept we carry Louisville, Easton, Franklin,Worth . We Print and Number Uniforms for many Leagues and orginazitions. We carry in season over 200 Baseball/Softball gloves, as well as 200-300 Baseball/Softball bats. We are a CERTIFIED RIEDELL dealer, one of only 10 in all of Massachusetts. We carry Riedell Skates in 5 different models. We carry the entry level skate all the way thru intermediate. Top end boots such as Silver and Gold Star are available as a custom option. Skate Sharpening....we are Certified in Custom Radius and Sharpening as well as all repair work.. We are the place to come when you want your skates done right the first time. Our reputation in this area speaks for itself. We have people travel over 1.5 hours to us just for skate sharpening. |
